Softball Recap: Crowley Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Crowley came up short against Hillsboro, falling 15-7. Crowley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anayah Walker-Small made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kenzli Brooks, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, Crowley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Crowley now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Hillsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Crowley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-8 draw against Maypearl on the 28th. As for Hillsboro, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-2 win against Kemp on the 28th.
