Volleyball Recap: Bishop's Triumphs

Bishop proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Francis Parker Lancers 3-2. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Bishop's was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-91), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 6-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Despite the defeat, Francis Parker saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ethan Brigger had 17 digs. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Brigger.

Bishop's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Francis Parker's loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Bishop's will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Del Norte at 6:00 p.m. on April 3. As for Francis Parker, they will venture away from home to face off against St. Augustine at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Francis Parker's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
