Basketball Recap: Lily Myers Key Part of Team Effort in Bluejays Win

Perry won the last time they faced Ogden and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bluejays came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 38-27.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Myers, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 21 boards. The contest was Myers' third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Addison Perks, who shot 47% from the field on her way to 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Perry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Perry now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ogden, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ogden, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge West Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
