Shelby-Rising City was the 49-23 winner over East Butler when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Shelby-Rising City Huskies fell 52-41 to the East Butler Tigers on Thursday. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Adams and Taya Pinneo certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Adams posted nine points and seven boards, while Pinneo earned 17 points and four steals. Pinneo's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

Shelby-Rising City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for East Butler, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13.

Shelby-Rising City has already played their next game, a 57-45 loss against Osceola on the 14th. As for East Butler, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-48 defeat against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on the 14th.
