Ridgedale barely beat Elgin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rockets were the clear victors by  a  10-1 margin over the Comets on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won eight matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kenzie Delaney made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jillian Slaughterbeck, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Alexis Burton, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 Ridgedale  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elgin didn't  got any hits.
Ridgedale has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Elgin, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgedale will face off against Berne Union at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Ridgedale's pitchers better be ready for this one: Berne Union has averaged an impressive 12  runs per game this season. As for Elgin, they will square off against Mechanicsburg at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Comets are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
