Softball Recap: Jacksboro's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After flying high against Bowie last Saturday, Jacksboro came back down to earth. Jacksboro took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Krum Bobcats on Friday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Starr Wesson and Maddy Morgan did some serious damage despite the final result: Wesson went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Morgan scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Jacksboro's loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1. As for Krum, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacksboro will square off against Iowa Park at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Krum, they will head out to challenge Ranchview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Krum is facing Ranchview at the right time seeing as Ranchview is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
