Baseball Recap: Garber Wolverines vs. Dover Longhorns

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crescent, Garber was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Dover Longhorns as the Garber Wolverines made off with a 9-3 victory. That's more bragging rights for Garber, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trenton Hoopes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Hoopes was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and a triple.

In other batting news, Garber let Rhett Stingley and Aiden Johnson loose on the outfield. Stingley went 2-for-2 with four RBI and a double, while Johnson scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Garber's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-14. As for Dover, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
