Basketball Recap: Vandegrift Comes Up Short

Vandegrift and Harlan squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Vandegrift had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the Harlan Hawks. The Vipers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

Among those leading the charge was Kameron Williams, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Moore, who earned nine points.

Vandegrift's loss dropped their record down to 25-11. As for Harlan, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 24-10.

As of now, neither Vandegrift nor Harlan have any future games scheduled.
