Football Recap: Walt Whitman Comes Up Short

Walt Whitman had taken Sachem North down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Wildcats lost 33-7 to Sachem North. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sachem North apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Walt Whitman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sachem North, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Walt Whitman is set to challenge their familiar foe Ward Melville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sachem North will square off against rival Bay Shore at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
