Basketball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland lost against Clayton last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cleveland Rams fell 52-43 to the Clayton Comets.

Clayton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Gray, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Gray a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Copeland, who earned six points and nine boards.

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Clayton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.

Cleveland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-59 defeat against Southeast Raleigh on the 17th. As for Clayton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 74-58 victory against Fuquay - Varina on the 17th.
