Basketball Recap: Mansfield Timberview's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Monday

With a playoff win on the line, Mansfield Timberview rose to the challenge on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-35 victory over the Paschal Panthers. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Panthers are ranked 718th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Viola Tadja was a one-woman wrecking crew for Mansfield Timberview as she dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tadja is becoming a predictor of Mansfield Timberview's success: when she posts at least eight boards the team is 11-5 (and 9-10 when she doesn't). Dani Milliner was another key player, putting up 13 points and six rebounds.

Mansfield Timberview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.
