The Charlotte Elite Academy Soldiers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 98-53 victory over Comenius on the road. That looming 98-53 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Charlotte Elite Academy yet this season.
Jared Taylor was his usual excellent self, scoring 34 points along with nine rebounds. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Jones, who scored seven points along with 11 assists.
The win got Charlotte Elite Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Comenius, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte Elite Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Elevation Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Elevation Prep Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday. As for Comenius, they will play host again and welcome Riverwalk Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverwalk Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
