Soccer Recap: Western Christian Has No Trouble Against Capistrano Valley Christian

The matchup between Western Christian and Capistrano Valley Christian on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Western Christian Fighting Lancers never let the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for the Fighting Lancers this season.

Their offense was hitting Capistrano Valley Christian from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Russel Dunham led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Western Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-4-2. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11-1.

Western Christian will take on The Webb Schools at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they will challenge Samueli Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Samueli Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.
