Basketball Recap: Travelers Rest Comes Up Short

Travelers Rest lost against St. Joseph's Catholic on December 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Travelers Rest Devildogs took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights. The game marked the Devildogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Travelers Rest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Travelers Rest and Greenville will round out the year against one another at at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they will take on St. Pius X Catholic in a tournament on Friday. St. Pius X Catholic is on a four-game streak of home wins, St. Joseph's Catholic a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
