Volleyball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Clinton Christian Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against the Heartland Mustangs by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-11, 25-14.

Clinton Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Carissa Compton, who had eight digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Compton a new career-high.

Compton wasn't the only good servers: Clinton Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in four consecutive contests.

Clinton Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for Heartland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clinton Christian Academy will face off against rival Training Center Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Heartland is set to take on their familiar foe Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
