Softball Preview: Ellwood City Wolverine vs. Central Valley Warriors        
        
		
            
 Ellwood City has been on the road for five straight, but  on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Central Valley Warriors at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Ellwood City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6  runs per game  this season.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Ellwood City gave their fans yet another huge  win on Friday. They blew past Quaker Valley 9-1.
  Amber McQuistion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in 11 consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Ellwood City let  Keira Rozanski and  Sara Schwarz loose on the outfield. Rozanski  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI, while  Schwarz  went 1-for-3 with a  home run.  Lena Lucarelli was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Central Valley fell victim to Mohawk Area and their airtight pitching crew  last Friday. They lost  8-0 to the Warriors. Central Valley has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Ellwood City has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record  this season. As for Central Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
 Ellwood City came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Valley  when the teams last played  two weeks ago, sneaking past  6-4. Does  Ellwood City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central Valley turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
