Football Recap: Jayden Terry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Grandville over Cass Tech + How To Watch

Grandville fought the good fight in their overtime game against Cass Tech on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Technicians by a score of 31-28. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Technicians 6-0 in the first quarter.

Grandville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Terry, who rushed for 196 yards and two TDs. Terry's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 186 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another back making a difference was Darrione Hardiman, who rushed for 150 yards and one score while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

Kaden Johnson went supernova For Cass Tech., rushing for 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. Corey Sadler Jr did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 105 receiving yards.

Grandville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cass Tech, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Grandville and Cass Tech should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 18th) will meet West Ottawa (ranked 117th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cass Tech will face off against Renaissance at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (1 vs. 265).
