Baseball Game Preview: Mariner Marauders vs. Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks

The Mariner Marauders will take on the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mariner came up short against Lynnwood on Wednesday, falling 11-1. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Marysville-Pilchuck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Marysville Getchell.

Marysville-Pilchuck saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Skarwecki, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Mariner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.
