Recap: Frederick Cadets vs. Tuscarora Titans
The Frederick Cadets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-40 victory over Tuscarora on the road. Considering Frederick has won four contests by more than 28 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Tuscarora lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alana Moxley, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kieryn Gomez, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
The win for Frederick keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Tuscarora, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Frederick will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oakdale on January 2, 2024. Tuscarora and Blair will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Blair is ranked 203rd, while Tuscarora is ranked 194th).
