With a playoff win on the line, St. Mark rose to the challenge on Thursday. They skirted past the Concord Raiders 12-11. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

St. Mark's let Bella Holl and Tanai Tippens run wild. Holl fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-5, while Tippens went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Flurie, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.

St. Mark's hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

St. Mark's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Concord, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.

Looking ahead, St. Mark's will head out on the road to face off against Caravel Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buccaneers' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
