United South's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 66-37 win over the Taft Raiders. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 29 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Taft saw an underclassman step up: freshman Axel Tsague posted 13 points along with eight boards and four steals. Those 13 points gave Tsague a new career-high.

United South's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Taft, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

United South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-53 defeat against Reagan on the 14th. As for Taft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-53 loss against Los Fresnos on the 14th.
