Baseball Recap: Bozeman Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Bozeman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Gallatin Raptors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since March 28th.

Caiden Pershing spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Van Shockley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Bozeman is undefeated when Shockley posts three or more RBI, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Zundel, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

The victory got Bozeman back to even at 7-7. As for Gallatin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.
