Basketball Recap: Grantsburg Takes a Loss

It was fun while it lasted, but Grantsburg's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 74-73 to the Clear Lake Warriors. The loss was the Pirates' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grantsburg fell to 5-1. As for Clear Lake, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Grantsburg and Clear Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Grantsburg (ranked 111th) will meet Luck (ranked 315th) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Clear Lake will challenge Shell Lake at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday up 112 places (104 vs. 216).
