Volleyball Recap: Paulding County Comes Up Short

Paulding County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rockmart Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Paulding County sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-14, 17-25, 15-10.

Paulding County's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rockmart, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coincidentally, Paulding County and Rockmart will both be playing Alexander the next time they take the court. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
