Volleyball Recap: Kodiak Comes Up Short

Kodiak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Anchorage Eagles.

Maggie Hubert paced Kodiak's offense, picking up five kills. Hubert got some help from Fremela Garcia and her two assists.

Kodiak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14-2. As for West Anchorage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-16-1 record this season.

Kodiak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Grace Christian on the 26th. As for West Anchorage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Kenai Central on the 26th.
