Carlin is 8-2 against Mineral County since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Railroaders will host the Serpents at 12:00 p.m. Mineral County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Carlin, who comes in off a win.

Carlin took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Eureka 16-7. The victory continues a trend for the Railroaders in their matchups with the Vandals: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Mineral County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to Pyramid Lake.

Carlin's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Mineral County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything went Carlin's way against Mineral County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Carlin made off with a 16-1 victory. Will the Railroaders repeat their success, or do the Serpents have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
