Volleyball Recap: Fenwick Comes Up Short

Fenwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan. The Friars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Caravan from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Fenwick was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23.

Fenwick's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Fenwick will welcome Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, they will venture away from home to challenge Providence Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Celtics will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Caravan surely won't give up without a fight.
