Basketball Recap: Okmulgee Takes a Loss

Okmulgee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 76-71 heartbreaker at the hands of the Seminole Chieftains. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Chieftains from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Okmulgee's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Seminole, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.

Okmulgee and Seminole could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Okmulgee (ranked 208th) will meet Henryetta (ranked 96th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Seminole will take on McLoud at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 193 places (272 vs. 79).
