The Handley Judges will head out on the road to take on the Liberty Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Handley, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Handley turned things around against Rock Ridge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Phoenix with a sharp 14-0 win.

Charlie Allen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Handley is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-5 otherwise. Allen was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Donovan VanNatter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Carson Otto, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Sherando on Thursday, falling 13-5. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Parker Harris made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
Handley's record is now 3-6. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Handley's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Judges have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Liberty, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Handley continue to outrun the ball?
Handley couldn't quite finish off Liberty when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Judges avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
