Basketball Recap: Humboldt Takes a Loss

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 72-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Como Park Cougars. The Hawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Humboldt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Como Park, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Humboldt Hawks take on the Washington Tech Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Humboldt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Washington Tech likes a good challenge. As for Como Park, they will be playing at home against Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Johnson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Como Park surely won't give up without a fight.
