Softball Recap: Elk Rapids Elks vs. Sault Area Blue Devils
Elk Rapids won against Frankfort on Saturday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Elk Rapids Elks came out on top against the Sault Area Blue Devils by a score of 8-5. Winning may never get old, but Elk Rapids sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Emma Eckerdt was excellent, going 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Elk Rapids' win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Sault Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Elk Rapids will be playing at home against St. Mary at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Elk Rapids is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Sault Area, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Newberry at 4:15 p.m.
