Basketball Recap: Atlantic Christian Cougars vs. Varsity Opponent

The Atlantic Christian Cougars can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 66-40 margin over Varsity Opponent. The victory was nothing new for Atlantic Christian as they're now sitting on three straight.

Atlantic Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Charlie Costello out in front who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Costello has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Stokes, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.

Atlantic Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, they dropped their record down to 346-1250-2 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
