Spring Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lowry Buckaroos. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ashlynn Sorenson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Hannah Montoya was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Spring Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Lowry, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Spring Creek will challenge Fernley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vaqueros have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Lowry, they will take on Damonte Ranch at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
