Soccer Recap: Oakmont Find Success

Oakmont gave up the first goal on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wheatland Pirates, sneaking past 2-1. The Vikings wouldn't have won without Teak Barbour, who scored the game-winner.

Oakmont's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-5. As for Wheatland, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-12-2.

Oakmont will head out to square off against Mira Loma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakmont's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wheatland, they will take on Colfax at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Wheatland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.
