Flag Football Game Preview: El Rancho Dons vs. Ramona Convent Tigers

The El Rancho Dons will square off against the Ramona Convent Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Wednesday, El Rancho came up short against Santa Fe and fell 19-12.

Despite the loss, El Rancho got top-tier performance from Melissa Perez, who rushed for 81 yards and one TD, and also threw for 218 yards and one touchdown. 96 of those passing yards were hauled in by Sofia Lopez.

Meanwhile, while Ramona Convent put up some points two weeks ago, the same can't be said for St. Bernard. The Tigers managed a 6-0 win over the Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Ramona Convent didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Audrey Mendez Osario and Kaori Yonai. Mendez Osario got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

El Rancho now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Ramona Convent, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-11.
