Volleyball Recap: Big Rapids Takes a Loss

Big Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reed City Coyotes. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Coyotes when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Reed City scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-28, 25-17, 25-21.

Big Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Reed City, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Big Rapids wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Clare on the 11th. After both having extra time off, Reed City and Grant will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
