Football Recap: Central Valley Academy Takes a Loss

Central Valley Academy lost against Vernon-Verona-Sherrill back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thunder had to suffer through a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Red Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Thunder have suffered against the Red Devils since September 29, 2017.

Central Valley Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Valley Academy will host Camden at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they will look to defend their home field on the 11th against South Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. The Red Devils will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
