Lincoln is 8-2 against Huron since August of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Patriots will challenge the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Huron took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincoln, who comes in off a win.
Lincoln is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Mitchell, who was ranked 25th at the time (Lincoln was ranked 11th). The Patriots came out on top against the Kernels by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Kernels: they've now won eight in a row.
Lincoln had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-11, 25-11, 25-22.

Lincoln relied on the efforts of Camila Langenfeld, who had 17 digs, 14 kills, and three aces, and Julia Blom, who had 15 digs and two aces. Those three aces gave Langenfeld a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Lincoln was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Huron came up short against Washington on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
While Huron was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 26-24, 25-22.
Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Lincoln beat Huron 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
