Basketball Recap: Carpinteria Piles Up the Points Against Nordhoff

Carpinteria won the last time they faced Nordhoff and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Carpinteria Warriors claimed a resounding 75-48 victory over the Nordhoff Rangers. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season.

Loss or not, Nordhoff got some senior leadership from Jonathan Roman and Cayden Budlong. Roman posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, while Budlong went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points and seven boards. That's the most blocks Roman has posted since back in November of 2024. Spencer Placial was another key player, putting up eight points.

Carpinteria has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Nordhoff, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Carpinteria didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-54 victory against Hueneme on the 25th. As for Nordhoff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-59 loss against Fillmore on the 24th.
