Softball Recap: Crowley Comes Up Short

Crowley lost against Boswell back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crowley Eagles lost 18-4 to the Boswell Pioneers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anayah Walker-Small was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Blakely Morman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Crowley's record now sits at 5-8-2. As for Boswell, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Crowley will take on Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crowley has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Boswell, they will challenge Mansfield Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Boswell 3.4, Mansfield Legacy 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
