Cobre came tearing into Thursday's matchup with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hot Springs Tigers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win last Tuesday.

Cobre never let Hot Springs on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 25-16.

Hayley Gutierrez paced Cobre's offense, picking up 22 kills. Gutierrez got some help from Isis Dominguez and her 29 assists. Dominguez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Cobre's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Hot Springs, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-9.

Cobre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hot Springs, they will take on Santa Fe Prep at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
