Baseball Game Preview: Hancock County Indians vs. Lynn Camp Wildcats

The Hancock County Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Lynn Camp Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hancock County has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 9th.

Hancock County might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to Fulton, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Lynn Camp had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 victory over Cordia on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since May 11, 2024.

Ethan Curry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lynn Camp is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-11 otherwise. Curry was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

Curry wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Darren Campbell, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Campbell is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-12. As for Hancock County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.
