Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 15-6 to the Larue County Hawks.

Holy Cross saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Basham, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was Basham's first of the season. Peyton McVey was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Larue County, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will face off against Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Larue County, they will challenge Fort Knox at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
