Basketball Game Preview: Cienega Bobcats vs. Pueblo Warriors

Cienega has gone a perfect 3-0 against Pueblo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cienega Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Pueblo Warriors at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Cienega's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Cienega is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 108-44 win over Desert View. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

Gabe Buksh was a one-man wrecking crew for Cienega as he went 8 of 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Buksh a new career-high. Jackson Moore was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 15 points and eight assists.

Meanwhile, Pueblo escaped with a win on Friday against Flowing Wells by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.

Cienega's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.1 points over those games. As for Pueblo, their victory bumped their record up to 8-18.

Everything came up roses for Cienega against Pueblo when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the team secured a 78-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cienega since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
