Basketball Game Preview: Hill Country Christian Rams vs. Cornerstone Christian Lions

Hill Country Christian hasn't had much luck against Cornerstone Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hill Country Christian Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Cornerstone Christian Lions at 4:00 p.m. Hill Country Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Hill Country Christian made off with a 50-49 victory over Austin Classical.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian entered their tilt with Our Lady of the Hills two weeks ago with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 37-12 win. With the Lions ahead 29-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Hill Country Christian pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Hill Country Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Cornerstone Christian in their previous meeting on January 2nd, winning 47-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hill Country Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
