Basketball Game Preview: Waterville Panthers vs. Leavitt Hornets

The Waterville Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Leavitt Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterville has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 19.

Waterville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hall-Dale.

Meanwhile, Leavitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 61-54 to Oak Hill.

Waterville's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Leavitt, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Waterville skirted past Leavitt 42-40 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waterville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
