Baseball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Susquenita

Susquenita entered their tilt with Juniata on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Indians. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Ryan Schoppy was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Reidlinger, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Jacob White was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Susquenita always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Susquenita's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Juniata, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.
