Baseball Recap: Helena Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Chelsea

Helena faced Chelsea in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Huskies fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 5-3. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Helena's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-10. As for Chelsea, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Helena is set to take on their familiar foe Spain Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chelsea will face off against rival Pelham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
