Baseball Recap: Hutchinson-Central Tech Takes a Loss

The Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers came up short against the Fredonia Hillbillies on Friday and fell 7-2. The Engineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nathan Mulligan put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Mulligan was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Joe Platt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Hutchinson-Central Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fredonia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Hutchinson-Central Tech has already played their next contest (against Middle Early College), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fredonia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 16-5 loss against Depew on the 28th.
