Baseball Recap: Benjamin Logan Takes a Loss

Benjamin Logan couldn't beat Marysville on Friday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the fifth inning. The Raiders lost 18-8 to the Monarchs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 11-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Benjamin Logan saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Brown, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Carter Lyden was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Benjamin Logan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Marysville, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

While Benjamin Logan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
